Installation (macOS / Windows)

CodeProso ships as a native desktop app for macOS and Windows. Builds are published on the GitHub releases page.

macOS

Download the .dmg for your Mac from the latest release — pick Apple silicon (M-series) or Intel.
Open the .dmg and drag CodeProso into Applications.
Launch CodeProso from Applications or Spotlight.

If macOS warns that the app was downloaded from the internet, choose Open. CodeProso may ask for permission to access folders like Documents the first time you open a project there — allow it so the file tools can read your code.

Windows

Download the Windows installer (.exe) from the latest release.
Run it and follow the prompts. CodeProso installs per-user and adds a Start menu entry.
Launch CodeProso from the Start menu.

If Windows SmartScreen shows a prompt, choose More info → Run anyway only if the file came from the official releases page.

Updating

CodeProso checks for updates on launch and offers to install new versions. You can also download any release manually from GitHub. See the Changelog for what changed.

Uninstalling

macOS: quit the app and move it from Applications to the Trash.
Windows: Settings → Apps → Installed apps → CodeProso → Uninstall.

Your projects are never modified by uninstalling. Local app settings can be removed from the app’s data folder if you want a clean reinstall — see Troubleshooting.
